Grave and Gloom

She stood amidst water
With sand and silt in her hair
With each passing second
On her face falls a black tear.

The wind that blew made her look serene
Waves going to-and-fro, touching her dress green.

Sand castles, sea shells and dirty tender feet
She kept on waiting eagerly for 'that' gigantic waves mistreat.

Eyes numb, red nose, deprived she looked head-to-toe
Ultimately she walked in 'deep' for she wanted somewhere far to go.

Water covered her body and face that looked sullen
Thought of all the people, for whom she no longer was a burden.

She felt disgusted for without any reason she kept on apologizing
Felt sorry for her own self as she kept on expecting and fantasizing.

Dropped her watch in the sea
When realised it was time for her end
She sat down to sleep in the raging storm

Alas! With a tap on her meek shoulder she was fed.

That man said nothing; but just gaped at her in utmost desperation
Handed her a white tissue
Saw her in extreme frustration.

They stood still for ten minutes
Like a dead butterfly
She finally struggled and uttered-

"I just want to die!"
