Outfits for the college going girl!

Hi there!

Welcome to the first ever fashion look-book/blog. Starting this blog and documenting my personal style has been a long-planned dream(and it finally seems to hit the reality!).

Talking of this blog, I have compiled my top five favourite college outfits that are comfortable and easy to carry, simple to recreate and ideal for every college going girl.

All the outfits listed below are an amalgamation of Indian as well as western wear, and are comfortable and lets you breathe even in the hot summers. I have tried to be as versatile as possible and incorporated different clothing items like skirts, leggings and even ethnic wear like palazzo pants and Kurtis!

I hope you like all that is specially curated and kept in store for you.

Happy reading!

LOOK 1: GOING THE ETHNIC WAY!

Fun fact: I love Indian wear as much as I love my skirts and crop tops!

A simple kurta with well-coordinated bottoms can never go wrong. For this look, I have selected a mint chikan-work kurta and worn it with black palazzo pants, silver Afghani earrings and a pair of floral flats!

This outfit is perfect for your first day to college as it is elegant yet minimalist. Chikankari embroidery is so much in trend these days and looks stunning when worn in any form. Wearing cotton palazzo pants is so much better than jeans or leggings as they are airy and comfortable.

You can attend your lectures, go on a lunch date with friends or even attend family gatherings in this look!

LOOK 2: LET YOUR SHOULDERS DO THE TALKING!

Off-the shoulder, cold shoulders and tube tops are a one time investment and they last you forever!
These tops let you flaunt your gorgeous shoulders, make your collar bones visible and enhance the overall appeal of the look.

For this look, I have paired the same black palazzo pants from last look with a pink and white floral skirt. Yes! I have worn my skater skirt as a tube top and the floral pink-white vibe of the skirt gives a pop of colour to the otherwise basic outfit.
With the skirt-top and pants, i have paired black multi-coloured tassel sandals. Since I wanted to highlight my collar bone area, I didn't wear any accessory and just carried a basic black tote and let my hair lose.

LOOK 3: ACING THE FUSION LOOK!

Skirts and Kurtis make a perfect combination! They make you look trendy and provide a perfect balance of westernised clothing and age-old traditional wear.

For this look, I have chosen a turquoise kurti and paired it with a basic black mini skirt. The kurti looks and matches perfectly with the black skirt. Both the garments have a self-design and that adds up to the overall look.
For footwear, I wore my black tie-up sandals as they come just above my ankle and look perfect with the length of the skirt. To complete the look i wore my silver jhumkas as they vibe well with the traditional look of the outfit.

You can mix and match your basic cotton kurtis with skirts and look trendy in college without going over the top!

LOOK 4: SPORTY YET CHIC!

This look is perfect for the girls who don't like dressing up and feel the most comfortable in their tracks and leggings.

For this look, I chose black basic leggings and paired them with a bralette and threw on my Dad's black-white shirt. I have added a brown rope belt on the top of the shirt to give it a neater and structured look.

The black white checkered shirt looks perfect with sleeves rolled up and acts as a perfect shrug on the top of the bralette.
I wore my brown combat boots to match with the colour of the belt. They have the perfect heel height and are non-slippery, water resistant and comfortable to run and walk around in!

LOOK 5: PLAYING THE BLACK GAME FOREVER!

"I have enough of blacks"- said no girl ever.

Black is the most easy to carry colour and looks perfect on all shapes and sizes and complexion. Half of my wardrobe has everything in black and trust me, I won't mind investing in more. This colour is not just fun to experiment with but also tones down your body and makes you look leaner.

This outfit from Empress Pitara is perfect for the summer season as it is comfortable and the fabrics used are breathable. Despite being black in colour, it keeps you cool and makes you look stylish with its design.

The palazzo pants look perfect with this printed tieable jacket/cape. The ambi print on the jacket looks very fresh and enhances appeal of the overall black outfit. My favourite thing about this entire outfit is that the jacket is removable and you can pair it up with leggings or even jeans and skirts!
